The Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) defines a Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), as, “responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. The CHRO provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, shareholders and the board of directors.”

As organizations start to manage the return to the office, the Online Graduate Programs team brings together a prominent group of CHROs to discuss how HR strategy has evolved as the pandemic recedes, and what challenges and trends they are seeing in this new and unchartered territory. This webinar is part of the "HR in Practice" webinar series and qualifies for SHRM and HRCI Credit.

Key Takeaways:

  • How has the pandemic and its aftermath shaped HR strategy and strategic leadership?
  • How have the challenges of the pandemic required new ways of working and managing teams?
  • What are some of the current trends shaping the practice of HR from the perspective of a CHRO?
