Good Grief: A Frank and Moving Discussion of Bereavement in the Workplace

The goal of the program is to share:

  • The stages of grief and how they appear
  • Ways to support the individual and their manager
  • What the bereaved employee is experiencing
  • How to be compassionate yet fulfill the organization's needs  

Kim will provide information and resources, which include the 6 needs of the grieving, secondary losses, and how to be with others in grief.

About our speaker: 

Kim Perone is a success coach and mindfulness trainer, with specialty areas in grief and resilience based on her personal experience and training as a grief educator. She is the founder of The Center for Clarity, Compassion & Contentment which she opened in 2015 after a 25 year career in business. Through facilitation, guidance, resources, and perspective, her clients pave their own inspired path toward goals and aspirations. Kim is a Certified Life Coach, a mindfulness trainer, grief educator, and development professional with a BA in Communication and MA in Organizational Communication from the University at Albany.


This program has been submitted for 1 credit hour through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) & Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
