governing workplace conditions of employment. This webinar will address what legal requirements are
currently in place and what the changing legal environment may provide in the future. This webinar will
cover federal and state legal requirements and guidance, including but not limited to (1) EEOC guidelines
on Pandemics, (2) requirements under the ADA, FMLA, PFL, FLSA, and New York State Labor Law, (3)
guidance documents on COVID-19 from the CDC, U.S. Department of Labor, New York State Department
of Health, and (4) guidance regarding quarantines (precautionary and mandated). The webinar will
provide an up to date discussion by Monica Skanes and Norma Meacham, partners at Whiteman
Osterman & Hanna LLP, in a rapidly evolving employment arena.

Norma Meacham
Norma is a partner with Whiteman Osterman & Hanna. Her areas of expertise include all aspects of
labor and employment and education law including employment policy, collective negotiations,
arbitration, disciplinary proceedings, PERB and NLRB proceedings, employment discrimination and
related litigation. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Meacham was Director of Human Resources for the New
York State Unified Court System, with responsibility for employee relations, personnel, equal
employment opportunity, training, payroll, and judicial benefits.

Monica Skanes
Monica is also a partner with Whiteman Osterman & Hanna. She represents both public and private
employers, including schools and colleges, on a wide range of education and employment law issues.
She regularly counsels employers to help avoid legal issues, conducts complex and sensitive student and
employee investigations, and defends employers in discrimination actions and other complex litigation.
