CRHRA: Managing a Global Workforce

Registration is closed for this event
Visa's, I-9's and Retention Policies

With our rapidly increasing global workforce, it is becoming critical to have awareness of concepts related to immigration; not only the legal aspects of onboarding foreign hires, but also the “human”, cultural aspects of supporting a diverse global workplace. Managing a multi-national workforce requires special treatment – from the initial hiring/screening process, through relocation. This presentation will provide a overview of our employment-based immigration system and complex issues that arise in the
recruitment and hiring of non-citizens. We will also discuss I-9 compliance and immigration sponsorship and retention policies, including liquidated damages clauses to protect an employer's investment.

About our speaker:

L.J. assists a diverse group of U.S. and foreign employers, such as multi-national corporations, healthcare organizations and large hospital systems, religious institutions, and universities to obtain temporary and permanent visas for skilled or professional foreign national employees. He counsels employers on immigration and I-9 compliance across the country. L.J. was named among the Top Influencers in Law for 2019 by The Business Journals.
